I hope everyone had a wonderful July 4th! We're still recovering from our holiday morning laundromat experience, and its time again to wash some clothes. After a few days without internet connection, here we are in blog-world.
Today was the first time I heard someone (unsure who it was) actually say, "I kind of miss being home." That will change though because we're in Concord, NC today through next Monday and we're going to have a rocking time! We need to pick Kim up in an hour at the Charlotte airport and everyone is excited. I promised the boys they could swim at the hotel pool after the airport run, so that means double the excitement! Concord, NC is also home to Concord Mills Outlet Mall which I am told is the #1 tourist attraction in the entire state. (Kim will be thrilled.) To all of my NASCAR friends, all 3 of them, this is where Lowe's Speedway is located.
The boys have experienced some wonderful ministry opportunites so far this summer, which was my main intent in doing something like this. The concerts and services have been anointed and we've seen some positive results. Everyone has been so kind to us and treated us just like family. It is good to see the Kingdom outside our own little box sometimes. This summer will serve as a fresh reminder of just how big God really is. The boys have also met some new friends (of both genders), and the text messages have been at a maximum. All except Tate, who just scribbles his girlfriends' names on his arm with a marker. Have a happy hump-day!
