Outlet Mall Outing

I just need to say that Concord Mills Outlet mall was not prepared for my family today! We had a productive day even before we made it to the mall. After sleeping in later than usual, we finally made it to the laundromat. Mom was kind enough to wash and dry our clothes while we took the motorhome to a carwash to vaccum the inside. The young man said, "Sure, we can get the inside all cleaned up." After 30 minutes of this fellow vaccuming the floors, bathroom, all of the beds, the dining table seats, the sofa, the upper level sleeping area, etc., it was time to pay up. I guess I was so excited the guy agreed to do it for us, I forgot to ask him what the price would be. I pulled out my wallet and heard him say, "That will be $4." I couldn't believe my ears! I paid the $4 and tipped him $25. Walking to the RV, I was feeling guilty after remembering how hot and sweaty I was while standing in the shade watching him do all the work! The boys thought I tipped him too much. I beg to differ.
We dropped off some suits and other clothes at the dry cleaners, and went to pick mom up at the laundromat. She had already finished with most of our clothes. Then we were off to On The Border for some mexican lunch.

After having lunch with our friends, we all made our way to the mall. The women took off on their own, and the men were stuck with the kids. Paying for a round of putt putt for the boys gave us some time to sit at Starbucks and chat a while. After a wonderful afternoon with friends, I hurried back to the hotel to drop Kim, Spencer, and Tate off for some rest. Colton and I went to a 7:00 rehearsal with the band and I must say, I was impressed with Colton's acoustic guitar abilities. The band was using their own drummers and bass player, so Colton picked up an acoustic and quickly joined in with us. Plans are for him to play guitar with me this weekend while doing some vocals as well. It's really nice watching your children involved in music ministry. I believe these summer weeks will stay with them for a very long time.

After rehearsal we had dinner at Logan's Roadhouse, and for some reason the boys thought the peanuts on the floor were for having a peanut throwing war. I quickly informed them of a peanut's proper use. And now, we are back at the hotel, where I will visually scan the room for an update. Mom is reading an Iris Johansen book, Colton is texting only God knows how many people at the same time, while Spencer and Tate are playing ring toss at about 98 decibels. It is 11:37 pm and time for bed. More tomorrow...
